This was first student flute that I had when I was first starting out, and it was a student flute that was highly recommended.

The flute is made by Trevor James who are a well respected woodwind manufacturer based in the UK. I used this flute for around 18 months before I unexpectedly grew out of it, as it wasn't giving me what I wanted from a flute.

It was a delight to play, learn and progress on as its really free blowing. What I didn't realise at the time that it had a silver lip plate and riser until I was looking up the specifications to write this post. So, despite this being a student modal flute it gives you feeling on what a 925 sterling silver would be like (to an extent, as the rest of the body is silver plated nickel), but without breaking the bank for a flute that has a silver head joint or a silver body and head joint.
